The nearest major city is Ha Giang, now part of Tuyên Quang Province. From Ha Giang, travel approximately 150–155 kilometres north to Lo Lo Chai via National Highway 4C, passing through the Đồng Văn Karst Plateau. The journey generally takes around 4–5 hours by private car or motorbike, depending on road conditions and stops.
From Hanoi, take an intercity bus to Ha Giang, then arrange a private transfer or motorbike journey to the village. Note that vehicle access inside Lo Lo Chai may be restricted during busy periods.
