I would definitely go to Halong Bay again with Vega Travel / Unicharm because of their guide, Hieu. His enthusiasm combined with his knowledge of Vietnamese history and culture makes him such a fun tour guide. Excellent English too. We appreciated Vega Travel’s effort to get off the beaten path - kayaking where no one else was and biking early in the day when we were the only visitors in the area. We also spent the night in an isolated area away from other tour boats. My husband and I and 2 university aged children all thoroughly enjoyed the activities and comfort of the boat - Hieu’s enthusiasm, attentiveness, and ability to relate to people of all ages stands out.
