We recommend departing Ninh Binh between 6:00–7:00 AM, which gets you to the ferry port around 9:30–10:30 AM — comfortably between the two rush periods. Avoid departing Ninh Binh around 9:30–10:30 AM as you would arrive at the port right during the afternoon rush. Plan to arrive at the terminal at least 30–45 minutes before your intended crossing, especially on weekends and public holidays.
