Itinerary:
Day 0: Hanoi to Ha Giang City
You will be picked up by a night sleeper bus between 7:30 PM – 8:00 PM, departing from Hanoi and arriving in Ha Giang around 2:00 – 3:00 AM the next morning.
Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed at our hostel in Ha Giang. A free dorm bed will be provided for you to rest until 8:00 AM, when the tour begins.
Day 1: Ha Giang City – Quan Ba – Yen Minh – Dong Van
You can start your day at 7:00 AM, complete personal hygiene activities, and exercise before 8 AM. Then, you will meet your tour guide to prepare for the Ha Giang Loop discovery and enjoy breakfast. After breakfast, the tour guide will brief you on the schedule and itinerary. Your driver will help you secure your luggage on the vehicle. For your convenience, large suitcases are not recommended—just bring essential items in a backpack and leave the rest at the homestay, where staff will keep them safe.
The first destination in the Ha Giang Loop discovery journey is Bac Sum Pass. From here, you will see the whole view of the winding road you have just traveled, surrounded by mountains, terraced fields, and local houses on the slopes.
After crossing Bac Sum Pass, you will reach Quan Ba Heaven Gate to admire the breathtaking scenery overlooking Tam Son town. Continuing the journey, your guide will lead you to visit a Hmong village called Lung Tam Village, where you can learn about traditional costumes made from hemp textiles. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Yen Minh town with local and organic dishes with your guide and driver
In the afternoon, the tour winds along the iconic and narrow Tham Ma Pass, taking you to your last stop of the first day at Dong Van to see the stunning and incredible views of the rocky plateau. You can also visit the Hmong King's Palace, a historical site that tells the story of the Hmong people in the area.
Stay at a guest house and spend a night in this Highland.
Day 2: Dong Van – Meo Vac – Du Gia
Wake up at 8:00 AM to get ready for the Ha Giang Loop discovery journey on the second day. After enjoying breakfast, your group will depart at 9:00 AM and head towards the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass—the 20 km long pass connects Ha Giang city, Dong Van and Meo Vac. Visitors can stop along the way to enjoy the scenery and admire the majestic beauty of limestone mountains and steep cliffs, along with the deep Tu San Canyon, and most impressively, the Nho Que River with clear blue water.
After a break, you will continue to move through the winding M-shaped pass connecting Meo Vac with Yen Minh, eventually arriving in Mau Due for lunch.
In the afternoon, your group will visit Ngam La to enjoy the scenery; you will be overwhelmed by the spectacular natural picture of mountains with winding roads and terraced fields. The next destination that the tour guide will take you to is Lung Ho, a peaceful stop to soak in the scenery and create unforgettable memories.
In the late afternoon, you will visit the homeland of the Tay people—Du Gia village. a tranquil Tày ethnic community nestled deep in a lush valley and surrounded by traditional stilt houses that radiate mystique and charm. will help you check into your homestay before leading you to the nearby Du Gia Waterfall, where you can enjoy a refreshing swim after a long day of exploration. In the evening, savor a delicious home-cooked dinner prepared by local hosts, followed by a gentle wind-down with lighthearted, relaxing activities.
Day 3: Du Gia – Ha Giang City
After breakfast, your group will pass through Duong Thuong, a peaceful area home to a H’Mong village nestled in a valley surrounded by vast corn fields. Following Thai An Road, you will reach Du Gia National Park, passing through primeval forests and deep canyons. Along the way, you can stop at scenic highlights such as Thai An Pass, Mien River and A Boong Waterfall to rest and take photos.
Finally, you will arrive in Ha Giang City where you will enjoy your last lunch of the trip, marking the end of this unforgettable Ha Giang Loop adventure. The trip ends, and you will get transportation back to Hanoi.
