When booking a Sao Viet VIP cabin bus from Sapa to Hanoi airport and city center, you may have seen options for "single" and "double" cabins (which classified by several service providers). It's important to clarify that this distinction is based solely on occupancy, not cabin size, as both are identically sized, measuring approximately 90cm x170cm.
- Single Berth/Cabin: This is a private cabin for one person, who pays one full fare.
- Double Berth/Cabin: This refers to the same standard-sized cabin shared by two people (e.g., a couple). Each person pays a slightly reduced fare. These cabins are compact, typically measuring around 90cm x170cm, and are designed to fit two adults snugly.

Our Agency Policy: Single Cabins Only
We exclusively sell single-cabin bus tickets. While double cabins are an option on some services, we have found their compact size can be quite tight, particularly for taller or larger passengers. On a long journey like Sapa - Hanoi route, this can lead to discomfort and potential issues. To ensure your transfer is as comfortable and trouble-free as possible, we guarantee you the full space and privacy of a single cabin.
Our goal is to provide the best possible experience for your journey through Vietnam, and a single cabin booking ensures you have maximum space for a restful trip.
If, after considering our explanation about the limited space and potential discomfort in double cabins, you still wish to book one—for example, for a parent sharing with a child or two friends traveling together—we can accommodate your request upon direct inquiry.
The price for a double cabin berth is 32 USD per berth, meaning each passenger pays 16 USD when sharing. To proceed, please contact us directly through this link: Transfer Request, and our team will be happy to assist you.
Yes, we prioritize arranging cabins for group bookings to be side by side or in close proximity to each other. However, this is subject to the bus's availability at the time of your reservation.
If your plans change and you need to shift to an earlier or later departure on the Sao Viet VIP from Sapa to Hanoi airport and city center cabin bus, we can arrange this subject to availability on your preferred slot. To give us enough time to coordinate with the operator and secure your new berth, please notify us at least 6 hours before your originally scheduled departure.
The standard allowance per passenger is:
- 1 large checked bag (equivalent to standard airline check-in size, ~20kg) — stored in the luggage compartment beneath the bus
- 1 cabin-sized bag — stored in the overhead compartment or at the foot of your berth
- 1 personal item — backpack or handbag kept inside your cabin with you
Valuables, laptops, and fragile items should always be kept inside your cabin rather than in the luggage compartment below. Baby strollers and prams are permitted and can be stored in the luggage compartment — just let us know at booking so the driver is aware.
If your luggage is slightly over the standard allowance, it is generally not an issue. However, excessive or oversized luggage may incur a surcharge or be refused at the driver's discretion — the compartment space is shared across all passengers and the driver has the final say.
If you are planning to travel with a large amount of luggage, multiple oversized bags, or wish to send a motorbike alongside your journey, please contact us in advance via WhatsApp so we can liaise with the bus operator to make the necessary arrangements before your departure date.
For regulations regarding permitted luggage, please refer to our article.
Children under 5 years old sleep in the same cabin as their parents free of charge. If the child is over 5 years old, the carrier will charge you the price of a double berth/cabin.
