Vietnam Railways may add or remove carriages from the train at any time. When they reattach a carriage, the whole car can end up facing the opposite direction. The seat numbers are physically printed on the seats and never change — but which side of the carriage faces the sea does change when the carriage is reversed.

So a traveller who booked seat 1A based on a tip saying "A seats face the sea" may arrive to find the carriage has been reversed — and now 1B is the sea side. This happens with no prior warning, and neither we nor the passenger can know in advance.

These adjustments happen in the railway yard without passenger notification. We appreciate your understanding on something that is genuinely beyond anyone's control as a booking agent.

With nearly half the seats of a standard carriage, the Premium option offers a noticeably more relaxed and comfortable ride — ideal if the Hải Vân Pass crossing is a highlight of your journey.

The standout section is the crossing of Đèo Hải Vân (Hải Vân Pass), where the track clings to cliffs above the East Sea. This stretch — approximately 20–30 minutes of the journey — is the prime window for coastal views, making a sea-facing seat especially rewarding during that part of the ride

Seat selection is handled by Vietnam Railways at the time of ticketing. While we can pass on your preference (e.g., window seat, sea-view side, or Premium carriage), specific seat number requests cannot be guaranteed. The earlier you book, the better your chances of a favorable assignment.
