If you’re looking to travel by train from Phan Thiet or Mui Ne to Ho Chi Minh City, here are a few important things to keep in mind:

Main Railway Stations in Binh Thuan:

Binh Thuan Railway Station:

• This station is part of the main North-South railway line (Sai Gon - Ha Noi), making it a stop for several trains, including SE7, SPT1, SE11, SE5, SE21, TN3, SE3, and SE1.
• There are more departure options available at this station.
• However, it is located around 10 km from Phan Thiet city center and approximately 40 km from Mui Ne, requiring additional transportation.

Phan Thiet Railway Station:

• This station serves a branch line specifically for the Phan Thiet - Sai Gon (Ho Chi Minh city) route.
• The only train operating on this route is the SPT1.
• Although Phan Thiet station is closer to the city center, it has fewer train options compared to Binh Thuan station.

Types of Tickets:

The Vietnam railway operator typically prioritizes berth tickets for longer routes such as Nha Trang, Da Nang, or Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh city. Berth tickets for the Phan Thiet - Ho Chi Minh city (Sai Gon) route are not regularly available for advance booking, especially more than 15 days ahead. Additionally, as this is a relatively short journey (around 4 hours), soft seat tickets are a convenient, economical, and comfortable option. Therefore, for this route, we only offer soft seat tickets.

Important Note:

There is no direct train service from Mui Ne. The nearest railway station is Phan Thiet railway station, which is approximately 30 km away, so additional transport arrangements are necessary from your accommodation in Mui Ne.
