Tran Quoc Pagoda & West lake in the morning
Our tour guide and bus will pick you up from the hotel around 8 AM then head to visit Tran Quoc Pagoda. It is an iconic ritual spot located on an island in the east bank of West Lake, with more than 1o00 years of history and is recognized as the oldest pagoda in Thang Long – Hanoi. It also was the Buddhist center of Thang Long citadel from the 10th to 14th centuries (the Ly and Tran dynasties). The tour guide will introduce its historical and architectural values and tell you another interesting story about Tran Quoc Pagoda in West lake.

9.15. am: Ho Chi Minh complex
Visiting the Ho Chi Minh complex which consists of the Ho Chi Minh mausoleum, the presidential palace, Uncle Ho’s house on stilts – where He lived and worked from 1954 – 1969) to learn more about the life of the Vietnamese hero through artifacts and tour guide’s stories.
- On Monday and Friday morning Ho Chi Minh mausoleum and museum are closed, instead of by Vietnamese women museum.

02h30: Hoa Lo prison
Hoa Lo prison was built in 1899 by the French for the original purpose of kept political prisoners here awaiting sentencing at the nearby Court of Justice. In the Vietnam war’s time, It is used as a prison for US pilots and officers who had been shot down and captured. They called it, sarcastically, the “Hanoi Hilton”. American senator John McCain was held there at various times during his five and a half years as a POW.
