What is Vietnamese Demilitarized Zone?
The Vietnamese Demilitarized Zone, abbreviated as V-DMZ, was a demilitarized zone at the 17th parallel in Quảng Trị province that was the dividing line between North Vietnam and South Vietnam from 21 July 1954 to 2 July 1976, when Vietnam was officially divided into two de facto countries, which was two de jure military gathering areas supposed to be sustained in the short term after the First Indochina War. This area lies entirely within the territory of Quang Tri province (running along the Ben Hai River, with the boundary between the two banks being the North bank in Vinh Linh district and the South bank in Gio Linh district).
Hue to DMZ car rental - One day charter car service allows you to visit some of the most important historical relics from the Vietnam War on a DMZ tour from Hue. Hear the war's untold story at the Vinh Moc Tunnels, Khe Sanh, Ben Hai River, Dakrong Bridge, and more.
Note: Most of these "battlefields" today are agricultural land, eucalyptus plantations, or barren hills with small museums or memorials. Very few war relics remain at most sites. What you are visiting is largely relics from what remains of the war.
What is a Charter Car Service?

Essentially, a daily private charter car rental provides you with a private vehicle and a professional driver for an extended period—typically 8 to 10 hours. From the moment you are picked up directly from your hotel lobby, the vehicle will belong exclusively to your group. The vehicle will serve as your personal mobile base for the day; you can safely store heavy luggage, jackets, and souvenirs in the trunk while hiking or boating through the caves, knowing everything is completely secure.
When you book a car rental, the pricing structure is very transparent. The upfront price includes:
- Car rental and professional driver
- All fuel consumed throughout the trip
(Note: The car rental price only covers transportation; it does not include entrance fees to tourist attractions, boat fees, or your meals.)
On the morning of your trip, your driver will arrive a little earlier than expected, waiting outside your accommodation with a clean, fully fueled vehicle. At A21 Tours, we will support you throughout your entire trip via WhatsApp or other messaging apps as per your request. If necessary, our drivers can also communicate in basic English or use translation software.
When you arrive at a major location like Khe Sanh Museum, your driver will stop directly at the drop-off area at the main entrance and wait for you. After your visit is complete, simply send a quick text message and your vehicle will return to the entrance within minutes, ready to take you to your next stop.
