*Update March, 2026:

According to information from the Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR), with the goal of enhancing the passenger experience, from March 2026, VIP train carriages with artistic and classic designs have been launched. The carriages include 32 luxurious soft wooden seats, with interior and exterior designs reflecting local characteristics. The interior is modern, with a luxurious space that blends with the diverse architectural and cultural history of the ancient capital. In addition, the train carriages are equipped with natural wood flooring, Wi-Fi, and a bar serving free drinks. This could be a new and exciting mobile check-in location and also a venue for musical performances on board. At the same time, VIP passengers will receive one complimentary beverage of their choice (fruit juice, chamomile tea, coffee, bottled water, etc.) throughout the journey.

In the remaining carriages, all soft seats have been upgraded to 180-degree swivel seats. Passengers can comfortably adjust their seating position, eliminating the worry of motion sickness from sitting facing the opposite direction while the train is moving. These new carriages also feature semi-automatic doors, electronic display boards showing the train's position and speed; spacious handwashing areas, modern and clean restrooms, carpeted floors, and elegant stone-patterned plastic wall cladding.
