What to Expect

Type of cabin

Consisting of 4 coaches, Fansipan Express Train offers 2 types of cabin:

  • Deluxe 4-berth cabin
  •  VIP 2-berths cabin

Pick-up & Drop-off

Before 20:00: Passenger be present at the Lao Cai Train Station (No.337 Quảng Trường ga Lào Cai Street, (see this destination on Google Map) for check-in procedure. Your online ticket would be exchanged for the paper tickets at this point.

21:40: Train departed to Hanoi Train Station.

04:30: Arrived at Hanoi Train Station.

Special Note

  • The train has its waiting room in the station to serve its customers.
  • There is one restroom on every couch and only open when the train runs.
  • VIP cabin/ cabin 2 berth must be bought as a whole. A single person who travels on a VIP cabin must buy both tickets.
  • Fansipan Express offering slippers, snacks or biscuits, mineral water, and large luggage storage for free.

Surcharge

  • Ticket price does not include meals on the train but includes snack and drinks
  •  Surcharge: 10% additional on Christmas, New Year, and Vietnam Holiday

Children Policy:

  •  Children, who are under 11 years old and shorter than 1m32, will reduce 10% train tickets comparing with adults.
  •  Free of charge for children under 3-year-old sharing parent‘s existing berths

Cancellation Policy:

  • More than 30 days departure time: USD 5 / person as handle fee
  • 10 days to 30 days before departure time: 30% of the total price
  • 48 hours to 10 days before departure time: 50% of the total price
  • Within 48 hours before departure time: 100% of the total price
  • No show: 100% of the total price
